Starting Friday, June 19th, Aunt Rita's Foundation launched a community wide campaign for National HIV Testing Day, which is June 27th. The goal of this campaign is encourage everyone to get tested and know their status. HIV is still a problem across the country with infections occurring every 9 1/2 minutes. When will we STOP this problem and decrease the infection rate in the United States? Today is the day and Aunt Rita's Foundation wants to help put an end to HIV/AIDS. We have partnered with several bars in central phoenix to assist us in communicating National Testing Day. Each bar will host posters, napkins, urinal pads, bartender t-shirts, and social media assistance to help communicate National Testing Day.
In addition, Walgreens has graciously opened up three locations in Phoenix to house free testing locations on National HIV Testing Day. We encourage you to spread the word of "I KNOW MINE" and get tested. Locations & Times: 24th St. & Indian School Rd. (6/26: 3PM - 7PM, 6/27: 3PM - 7PM, 6/28: 10AM - 2PM) 19th Ave & Bethany Home Rd.
