Who we share your data with

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content – mainly videos from YouTube and Vimeo. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Spam detection

Visitor comments & response form information may be checked through Automatttic’s Akismet, an automated spam detection service.

Analytics, fonts & reCaptcha

Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage. You can opt out of Google Analytics if you disable or refuse the cookie, disable JavaScript, or use the opt-out service provided by Google.

We also use a number of other Google products, including Google Fonts and the Google reCaptcha service, which protects our website from spam and abuse.

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described in Google’s Privacy Policy and for the purposes set out above.

MailChimp

We use MailChimp to maintain our mailing lists and deliver event updates and other messages. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy policy.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

We do not rent or trade our email lists with other organizations and businesses.

Third Party Donation Processors

We use various third party services to securely process and track registrations and donations to our events and other fund raising efforts.  These services collect and store information needed to process your donation and/or registration, including personally identifying information such as name, address and credit card numbers. These third party processors store and use your information as governed by their privacy policies. Our third party processors include:

Like and share buttons

We also interface with social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others. If you choose to “like” or “share” information from this website through these services, you should review the privacy policy of that service. If you are a member of a social media site, the interfaces may allow the social media site to connect your visits to this site with other Personal Information.

External site links

Our website may contain links to other websites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. When you go to other websites from here, we advise you to be aware and read their privacy policy.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

For any financial or registration transactions we and our third party processors (see above) may collect personally identifiable information, including the following: name, address, email address, phone number and credit card information. This information is used to process your donation, acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes, and include you on other Aunt Rita’s communications sent by traditional mail and email.

Security

We use servers protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our visitors. Our third party processors (see above) maintain compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI DSS”) requirements for PCI compliance.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your Consent

By using this site, you consent to our collection and use of this information you provide.
