Founded in the mid-1980s by Randy Schrock, Gary Mangum, and Skip O’Neill, Aunt Rita’s Foundation emerged as a vital source of support during the early AIDS epidemic. With beginnings in humble bake sales, the foundation has evolved, adapting to the changing landscape of needs and funding. Since 2005, Aunt Rita’s has raised over $1.5 million for local HIV/AIDS service agencies.

Kick Off to AIDS Walk: Honoring Our Roots and Celebrating Co-Founder Skip O’Neill

Join us for our bake sale, the kickoff event for the AIDS Walk. This year, we’re going back to our roots and celebrating our co-founder, Skip O’Neill. Your donations and participation in the bake sale honor his legacy and support our ongoing mission.

How to Donate:

  • Confirm Your Donation: Please let us know if you’ll be donating by February 1st, 2023. After confirmation, we’ll send you an in-kind donation form.
  • Prepare Your Items: For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, ensure all donated goods are individually wrapped and labeled with ingredients.
  • Recognition of Your Generosity: We appreciate your support! Your contribution will be acknowledged at our event and in our promotional materials.

About The Red Purse Club

Aunt Rita’s Foundation created the Red Purse Club to promote HIV prevention and awareness, and to provide special grant funding for critical HIV services. The generosity of our members insures that Aunt Rita’s remains financially stable until there is a cure for HIV.

As a RED Purse club member, you’ll receive quarterly updates about our programs, exclusive event invitations for our RED Purse Club members, and special recognition at all of our events! You’ll be the first to know about the exciting things we’re doing at Aunt Rita’s Foundation!

How Do I Join?

You can join the Red Purse Club for a minimum gift of $10.00 per month or $150.00 per year. Just click “Join Now” above, complete the online Red Purse Club Donation Form, and provide all necessary billing information.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

A Red Purse Club member may cancel their membership at any time with no cancellation charges or penalties. The cancellation will be effective the month following the cancellation unless the cancellation occurs within 10 days of the FIRST monthly or annual donation then a full refund will be issued. Planned Giving at Aunt Rita’s Foundation

Your generosity can support Aunt Rita’s mission to end HIV in Arizona and support the UNAIDS 90-90-90-0 Initiative. The Aunt Rita’s team and financial and insurance professionals with whom we partner can help you establish gifts that are right for you.

Aunt Rita’s Foundation appreciates you, our wonderful donors who make a special impact to help us achieve our mission to end HIV in Arizona. There are many different planned gifts that can help us reach this goal, and many that can increase the impact of your charitable giving. We can help you select, and establish, the giving option that works best for you. The financial and insurance advisors with whom we partner can help you establish the gift of your choice.

Cash gifts (one-time or recurring)

You can specify the program or area that your gift will amplify, and receive an immediate income tax deduction if you itemize.

Monthly Sustained Giving

Join Aunt Rita’s Red Purse Club to help sustain the organization with a monthly gift between $10 and $250.

Event gifts

You can pledge a donation at one of Aunt Rita’s events, and make it a matching gift to amplify its impact. Gift amounts of $10,000, $5,000, and $2,500.

In Memorium or In Honor of Giving

Select Aunt Rita’s Foundation as a charity in honor or memorium in lieu of gifts or flowers.

Gift of Securities

You can gift stock certificates or other securities to Aunt Rita’s Foundation, and select the program you wish to amplify. You can also avoid capital gains taxes with this method of giving.

Bequests

Name Aunt Rita’s Foundation as the beneficiary of a specific amount or percentage of your residual estate through your will or revocable trust. You can specify the program your gift will amplify, and defer your gift until death while retaining the ability to make changes to it during your lifetime.

Gift of Retirement Assets

Name Aunt Rita’s Foundation as the beneficiary of all or a portion of your retirement assets. You can specify the program your gift will amplify, defer the gift until death, avoid income and estate taxes due at death, and retain the ability to make changes during your lifetime.

Gift of Insurance Policy Proceeds

Name Aunt Rita’s Foundation as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy. You can specify the program that your gift will amplify, defer the gift until death, make a large gift with less cost to yourself, and avoid estate taxes due at death.

Annuities and Charitable Trusts

Charitable gift annuities and trusts can be established that supplements your income or provides Aunt Rita’s with fixed payments.
