Glen Spencer

Glen Spencer has been involved in HIV and AIDS issues in Arizona since 2002, following his own AIDS diagnosis.  Following membership on the Ryan White Planning Council between 2003 and 2005, and volunteering in the community, he became a medical case manager with HIV Care Directions in 2005.  Glen served as a case manager for 6 years, developing expertise with Social Security Disability benefits.  He was promoted by the parent organization, Area Agency on Aging, to be the Benefits Assistance Program Director in 2011.  In this capacity he oversaw the State Health Insurance Assistance Program and assisted Medicare beneficiaries with their benefits, managed government grants, and was a frequent presenter in the community about Medicare and Healthcare reform.

Glen’s Aunt Rita’s Foundation involvement began in 2007 as a Board Member, and he served as the Board Chair of Aunt Rita's Foundation between 2008 and 2010, and resigned from the Board in 2011. Glen remained a donor and involved participant with all of Aunt Rita’s events and activities until he was appointed the Executive Director of Aunt Rita's Foundation in January of 2016.

Glen takes his HIV regimen daily, and is very healthy.

Jaimi Romano

Jaimi Romano is an Arizona native and joined Aunt Rita’s as Director of Marketing and Events in 2019.Jaimi realized her passion for HIV/AIDS causes while studying Global Health at Arizona State University, and she has been involved with sexual health education and outreach since. Jaimi previously worked for HEAL International, an Aunt Rita’s partner agency, as a Community Health Facilitator and Executive Assistant. Jaimi continues to provide sexual health and relationship education to sex-trafficked youth in Arizona with HEAL. Jaimi is excited to be on the Aunt Rita’s team and looks forward to supporting an incredible organization!

Juan Lopez

After working for Wells Fargo Bank for over five years, Juan Lopez has joined Aunt Rita’s Foundation as Program Manager for HIVAZ Connect! Juan has put on his own fundraisers, raising money for Pulse Orlando victims, the Phoenix Pride Scholarship Fund, and many other causes. Juan has a great passion for community outreach and ensuring youth and minorities are able to get the resources and education they need around HIV/AIDS. Juan is excited to be joining the Aunt Rita’s team and looks forward to helping the organization continue to make an impact!

Felicia Butts

Felicia is an Ohio native who has made Phoenix her home since 2006, and became Aunt Rita’s Events Coordinator in 2018. Felicia has an extensive background in marketing and event coordination. Since relocating to Phoenix, she has been involved in several organizations including the Phoenix Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce where she serves on the as Board of Directors and organizes and coordinates the Chamber luncheons and netmixers for the membership. Felicia is passionate about event planning, fundraising, and Aunt Ritas! Felicia has always believed and said, “An individual can make a difference through small actions”.

Kit Kloeckl

Kit moved to Phoenix in 2000 after completing his career in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2007 Kit was invited to sit on the board of Aunt Rita’s Foundation and was named Treasurer. Kit became the Executive Director following the first AIDS Walk in 2008 and brings a passion to the organization for HIV/AIDS assistance and prevention. Under Kit’s direction, Aunt Rita’s Foundation has built upon AIDS Walk Arizona & 5K Run and the spring signature event. In 2012, Aunt Rita’s introduced RED Brunch to commemorate World AIDS Day.

Kit has been instrumental in creating outreach to the Hispanic, African American and Native American Communities and in the design and implementation of the state’s only comprehensive HIV resource website. Kit also led the way for a statewide partnership between Aunt Rita’s Foundation, Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, and Northland Cares resulting in AIDS Walk Arizona & 5K Run in Tucson, Phoenix, and Prescott.

Kit stepped aside as Executive Director in January of 2016, but remains as Director of Programs allowing him to continue his passion of HIV Education & Awareness.
